2020 Vision Goal Five - Children's and Teen Versions

The story of David and Goliath is one that is enjoyed by young and old. Any time the "underdog" wins is amazing. Our first goal was to put together a presentation that would have a message of hope and encouragement for people of all ages. It was a program that an entire family could learn from. However, we also know that there are a lot of things that could be added that would really make it exciting for elementary age kids and teens.

Can you just imagine the thrill that a 10 year old boy would have being able to take a shot at a life size Goliath with a slingshot? Can you hear the victory yell when when a Nerf ball passes through a 4.5" hole in Goliath's forehead sounding a shofar (ram's horn) loud enough to be heard a block away? Now imagine a group of teens being able to launch a javelin at hay bails at a teen conference. Getting peoples senses involved in the learning experience enhances the impact of the message.

There is no shortage of ideas as to what we could do in making a children's and teens version all we need are the funds and time to put it all together. Some of these things can be carried over from one to the other so getting the first one done will be the most expensive.

For the children's version we need $3,000 and then another $2,000 to add the teen version. Most of this will be one-time costs and the items will last many years and for hundreds of presentations. Will you help make these dreams a reality bringing these age groups into a personal relationship with Christ?
