Your help with the Goliath's spear project changes lives. It is because of people like you that the spear is on the road and being used to touch the lives of hundreds of people each year. We were recently at a church and made the presentation during the morning service. Afterwards a lady came up and introduced herself. Before she could go much beyond her name, she turned her back as she stood there and cried. After a few moments she composed herself and turned back around. She shared that this was her first time to be at that church. She really didn't want to come but her husband insisted. He had heard that the spear was to be at that church and he wanted to see it. He coached her to get out of bed and go with him. She said she came so close to missing it. She, like the rest of us, has been facing some giants in her life. She had pretty much lost all hope and really was resigned to the fact that it is what it is and there was nothing that would change. Being there that morning and hearing again the story of David and Goliath and how because of David's faith in God brought him victory, we too can have victory over the giants that we fact. She said she had been looking for a "sign" of some kind that God was still there, that He still loved her and would see her through. She said she saw that sign that morning and came so close to missing it. Your help allows us to put that "sign" in front of countless people like this lady. She and so many others need the message of hope and encouragement that comes from God's Word.
